Travel to the holy city of Rishikesh, located on the sacred Ganga River in the foothills of the Himalayas with Kriyananda Devi (of Sacramento Yoga Center) and Uma Reed.

 

Our first stop will be an Ayurveda Spa, where we will have three days of ayurvedic massages, and acclimate to the culture and landscape of India.  Next, we move to the ashram of Swami Dayananda Saraswati, where we will attend a Vedanta course with this highly respected guru. Swamiji is a great scholar of the Upanishads and the Sanskrit language, and is very accessible, with a great sense of humor. The journey includes a trip to the Taj Mahal.
